Empingham Medical Centre is situated in the village of Empingham, on the edge of Rutland Water in the heart of the picturesque County of Rutland. We provide GP and Nurse appointments and we are a Dispensing Practice.
The Practice area covers over 120 square miles in the villages around Rutland Water. We are members of the East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELRCCG) and mainly refer for secondary care to Peterborough City Hospital and its clinics at Stamford. A smaller number of referrals are made to University Hospitals Leicester as well as the local community based facilities.
We are a very popular Practice, rated very highly in local and national patient satisfaction surveys. We were rated GOOD in all areas at our first CQC inspection which took place in September 2015.
The Practice is part of the Jubilee Academy and is actively involved in teaching 3rd & 5th Year Medical Students from Leicester Medical School. We are also involved in a range of Research Studies through the East Midlands Clinical Research Network.
